0:00a jeff how are you good you doing well i was practice uh... too bad today not too bad to get to go out against it not for you get a great game the other night yet all the people are pretty good so uh... north uh... things are good and i can what uh... what is the feeling around dressing on a note you guys have a big game tomorrow night with marcus nazlins uh... retiring jersey and was pretty excited for a lot of guys who got to uh... play them over the years and uh... even just watch and play and uh... so we're all pretty excited to see him get on it like that i want to i want to go back to the islanders for a second just because of charles way and and you played for him i mean for people who don't know this guy almost hired sumo wrestlers to play in that they gave ricky depred e-pietro uh... an insane contract hired garce no to be the general manager while he was still a backup will tender for the team what was it like playing for him

0:45no i'm charles is always a good uh... a good person any he cares about his players and then want them to have success i know they're going through a little over building stage there uh... you know it's a proper or sometimes look at the teams that uh... you know it's for the chicago's and you know they had to go through the same kind of stuff but uh... one thing with charles is he really cares what his players what's with the crazy ideas and i think he's just looking for you know ways to have success and uh... you know he's made uh... a lot of money in his days and probably from picking up at the box and same thing at all with uh... with a good heart though with the better speaking about a good heart you're playing basically against your father when you're in town on sunday yeah he's upstairs i mean it's not like a plan against them so i mean i've done before it's uh... it's not a big thing too much uh... it's not quite a case to become an empson and uh...

1:31that should be fun but uh... it doesn't really affect me too much within uh... being a stand right do you guys have like a bad not not monetarily obviously but like you got a cook him dinner if you win or vice versa or anything like that uh... it's got nothing to do if he was another bench and it probably gets more competitive in the summertime we both skate together something like that but uh... unless he's on the ice it's nothing too much is it something you want to do one day take the same route now it's uh... the business i've got to see luckily uh... with him doing it so it's something that i've always enjoyed and uh... i like the man's inside but uh... you know what kind of cross-eyed bridge when it comes what are your thoughts on uh... on nhl 24 seven this hb o thing is going to be starting up next week no it should be great i haven't i haven't got too much of what they've been doing so far but uh... you know that's two top notch teams and you know that rivalry is something that has been great for our league and

2:17especially when i talk about ovi instead and uh... it should be great to watch what do you think we're gonna see i mean as a player there there i'm sure there are things that go on that that we as fans don't see what do you think is going to surprise people the most i think we just you talk to them people especially said you see how much he works and that the time he puts in his game and he's had uh... great start so far and uh... little things about his game and his personality think people really get to uh... see and really enjoy we're talking about those two eastern teams the capitals and the penguins if van kuver ends up being in the finals which the looks of it at the moment i know it's still early strong possibility who are you guys going to be playing from the east you think it's a one of those two you know it's a fight it's uh... you look you know that he's just kind of probably more top heavy than our conference but uh... you know they between you know filley and montreal and pit and wash me there they're gonna battle it up pretty

3:03good so i mean like it last year i mean the team that comes out of it is no is the one you think is going to go so either team would be be working to get to that point for sure if you have to pick who would it be uh... i think pitchberg i mean i i i'm i've seen said play for a lot of years so far and uh... got a chance to play with him in the world juniors and uh... this kid i i don't ever doubt that he's not going to get there so uh... i'd always pick that we do something called five questions on the show five quick questions one word answers today's guest joins us on the phone from van kuver he will be here in edminton on sunday along with the van kuver connects to play the oilers for a game at home he just uh... had a sweet shoot out goal and another goal in the regular game against anahime

3:49the other night this is jeff tambalini it's five questions of the van kuver canak greatest player of all time grittsky or or how uh... grittsky leon or mccourtney uh... leon kind of the answer this book cross bureau vegkin proudest moment in hockey uh... world juniors cool and one word jeff tambalini uh... canak and weeknights at five fifteen when matt grills is next guest
