00I'm good man. So you guys you're on set obviously you're working right now. Actually in the car. Oh, okay. Gotcha Okay, so this is well since we don't too much time Let's get rid into this getting it printed the week of the Thanksgiving Day episodes So you know if you give me any spoilers for the next couple weeks is not gonna be a big deal at all But but I kind of want I kind of wanted to start With you getting the role which I guess would be just shortly after flash forward probably ended Did you know flash forward was on its way out or did you find out because they said maybe you should do happy endings?
48Yeah, it was a cool concept. It was it was too bad. It couldn't I don't know but I guess it worked up for you pretty well Yeah, so you said you said they did you not even audition for the role they just wanted you and you just said okay And how is it how is that sort of which part changed for you flash forward or Dave now forward right?
44The Jewish kid, okay Well, how has the character room because obviously now you're in the third season and and you must be a lot more comfortable You know the character you know Dave pretty well the writers now know Dave pretty well You know David's not writing I guess and the writing team not writing a new character you have you have this guy now So how has that changed?
36And now it's kind of moving back from what I hear about this season not but not not the lack of humor But more you and Alex or you and Alicia rather Yeah, you know they Are you and Alicia doing together now you're obviously getting to play off each other a lot more than you probably used to
48What why is that what what what have they brought today that that makes you so happy about it more humor more? Are you more of a focal point of the show? I mean, you know it's an ensemble show. I heard you didn't like the love triangle angle as much last season
52You could you were kind of hoping to get rid of that and you must be glad that that happened as well speaking about the actor brain
38So what's your process when you get a script? Do you have a place that you read it? Do you read it immediately? Do you highlight your lines? How do you go through a script? Well, what is there any improv scenes that you were surprised that maybe made it into the the final cuts from last season that people would recognize?
58At least for your character? I guess we're going back away now Well speaking about your own language. Let's go there. Let's go to the Thanksgiving day episode because I hear your 1 16th Navajo as we learned a couple I think it was this season on the show, but but I hear you kind of go up into your own thing I guess what will be next week's episode Dave manages to experience the entire plight of the native
56How do you how is that for you as a challenge because you want it you kind of you wanted to play it funny? Obviously, but you also want to you know give give the culture some respect as well So that's got to be a happy a weird balance to try and do and so if that's the a story the episode of b-story here is this reality
13Show where you are really bad on camera as we've learned from the commercial at that one point and you got this crazy wig and everything So why don't you talk about that for a second? Yeah, so the story of the episode is that The gang
12Bad that's easy for you. Okay Came out wrong, but you know what I mean Yeah, no, I mean look it's fun when when there's a challenge and they I always sorry I'm just checking into a paramount to me once that yeah, sure It's it is it's fun when um, you know when you get to play. I really know you're going to yes, sir Thank you Well, since you're pulling into the lot, I don't want to take up too much of your time But I do want to talk about just for a second here you play another dave in a movie called teddy bears net babies in it
00That's got to be pretty cool Yes, that was it was really great And the movie just turned out really great
00And what's it about briefly? Basically, there's three couples Me, uh, me and o'Reilly are a couple ghillie and jacobson jason ritter are a couple and Before the movie begins his mother and the movie is starting really the one thing that would
51Is is if I slept with all the women here from in the mid-sen of uh It's just about this sort of nation that he has with being loved and cuddled by all the women that he you know It loves in his life and that during the week in josh, which is so you know, it's got a big chill kind of feel to it It's just it's just a really nice little movie nice. So before I let you go. We got to do something called five questions five quick questions one more answers One more answer one more answer tv or film Lenna nurmikartney
42Comedy or drama roll your most proud of no, I don't I would change Dave, you know, because that's the one that most people have seen Dave from happy endings not Dave from teddy bears. Yeah, right gotcha in one word happy endings Nice. Thank you so much, man. I really appreciate it. I know you got a busy day So I really appreciate that you taking the time out to do this Yeah, absolutely man take it easy
