Because that sounded amazing. What block? Ah, is it actually wood? Well, this is made out of wood.
09It sounded pretty cool. I enjoyed it. So three guys are brothers. Yeah. What's it like being a band with your brothers? You guys fight a lot? Because I know I fight a lot. You know, nothing's near. So we've been fighting since we were born. That's a lot of each other. Is it St. Louis or St. Louis? We call it St. Louis. And I think a lot of people from St. Louis call it St. Louis. And then people who aren't from St. Louis call it St. Louis. That makes sense. Kind of sure. The natives call it St. Louis. That's what I'll call it. Yeah. Cool. Rolling Stone gave you guys a great review for Stars. I mean, Spin Magazine, all over the place. I think it sounds kind of cool in the background. Yeah. Just unbelievable. But they say I-O is their favorite song in the record. You know, it says those tracks to listen to you. Does that influence your decision on making maybe
55that the next single? No. But I mean, in my opinion, I think that's probably the next single. So we'll see what happens. I mean, that's one of our favorite songs on the record. And you guys going to play for us right now? Sure. Come on, here we go. One, two, three. I got a letter from the tax man. I own. I got a message from the president. I own. You said it's a better contribution. You're old. Well, it's not my generation. That was. And they tell us to.
41Lay. Look. We got you on the control. And we don't know. Right from wrong. Oh, but we'll bring you on the long run. Let's go. I lost you from my best friend. I own. I got such an irritation. I own. I misreleased me and said no misbehaving your own. You said give a little bit, give a little bit, give some more.
28And they tell us to. Lay. Look. We got you on the control. And we don't know. Right from wrong. Oh, but we'll bring you all along. I said the F P I the C I A. The F D A the N S A R H M. R-H-M-O-S-R-P-P-O-S
18The C-E-O-S And the U-S-A we all got to Land, love Because they got us on the control And we don't know We're right from wrong But we'll bring you All along one by one Let's go! Come on! Hey, come on! I said now all we need is love All we need is love Said all we need is love
07All we need is love Said all we need is love All we need is love Said all we need is love All we need is love All now listen-up Unbelievable Is that enjoyable for you guys to know Obviously playing the show, you get the reaction back From the audience as some rock out But I mean playing it in the radio station is that Yeah, it's always a good time for us to just Strip the songs down Yeah, because it's like the way that we wrote em Oh really? Is that how it's kind of do it this way? Yeah, due to a campfire sing along The whole album reminds me, lyrically, the 60's Very well, against Bush, against religion
54Do you think music is ever going to go back to a time like that, where it's like a revolution again? Well, I mean, that's what we're hoping. You know, I'm hoping to. Because at the end of the day, an artist in music or in visual arts or in film is sort of a reflection of their surroundings. And I feel the surroundings across the world, not just America, are sort of in a bad place right now. You know, so I think it's a natural thing for a lot of artists just to start writing about it or painting or filming it. Because it needs to be brought to the masses as much as possible. So that, you know, because in the day the voting public are the ones that make the decision of who's going to be in office, you know. I heard you're not too happy but who's in office right now?
39It's not so much, you know, Bush represents, you know, a group of people, you know, a lot of people who are, you know, in America, sort of the forefront of the world, you know, where the kings of the world, you know, they, American influence the rest of the world in a major way. So I look down upon the American public right now because, you know, we're the ones who put these people in office. And now, since these people are in office, it's, you know, destroying lives across the world. Yeah, definitely. Americans, you know, are not, you know, very respectable people these days. He doesn't make me really proud to be one. Oh, do you actually pee on a picture of George Bush at every show? You know, every show for us is a bit different.
25You know, we've done an assortment of sort of our own little rituals from, you know, burning a Bush picture to, you know, burning a picture of the White House to peeing sort of our, our performance, our aspect of our performance. And then we've done a lot of work on people with Bush and rum-spilled masks on. Who would you guys vote for if you had a change? Like who would you like to see over throw Bush? You know, I don't think there's many politicians these days in America who are really representing the people. And so the major thing I'd like to see is the people of the U.S. actually handling the voting system and getting out of the government's hands so that, you know, if a politician runs
13for office, I feel like the people are sort of organizing that, you know, in each, you know, faction of, of America and maybe we actually would get an honest election, you know. It would be nice. Yeah. It would be very nice. You think Hillary did a good job? Hillary Clinton? Yeah. I think she's probably got the same agenda as, as the Bush White House does. I don't know, necessarily if she would get, you know, people like, you know, if you're, if you're talking Republicans, people like, you know, John McCain, I think, at least on the can, at least represent, you know, at least an actual politician, which is a businessman. So you might not agree with what John McCain says. Lisa is carrying on the Republican Party tradition, which is just to be a great politician. You know, so how do you guys fill up the downloading your music? Do you think it's going to help you or harm you more with this record than what with her
59music downloading? Like the illegal downloading I should say. I'm actually for it because I think it gives artists an opportunity to like write a song in their bedroom and instantly get it online. And I think at the end of the day, you know, people still want to buy an album, you know. And so I think, you know, if you give people something for free, they'll come to your show, they'll support you, you know, because you can't download a show. No. The live experience, you still can't put it in an iPod. So in most musicians, make the most money from the live show. Definitely. He has a plan to run on a Marnite, Drake Hotel, 11 PM. I heard it's like there's a book thing going on too. Yeah, Florie Seidges money. He's a local artist who's done music videos for David Bowie to watch the craps if you want to have a look. Yeah, she's doing a book release of her visuals from shoots, word doing the after party for
52that. Cool. Yeah. Drake Hotel tomorrow night. We do this thing every week, at least on my show at night, which is tonight at seven. Just called five questions, just five quick questions. One word answers. I guess you guys can go just go down the line or something. iPod or CDs. CDs. CDs. Good. Line of the car. Oh, you know, I miss cool. Alcohol and marijuana. Marijuana. You know, I miss again. Good song you've written your most proud of. When's you haven't heard yet? And one word living things. Music for the people. Cool. Living things. I really appreciate having us.
