00so that's what the junction here in the studio hello it's a lot of i'm going to have a good year in town that you can come back every time we're going to come to a calgary we're gonna try and make a date with you here that's a nice and i think it's usually for women but you know you do you have to do this time around you know it's got a lot of the bushy beers a lot of women to choose from oh yeah and i've only been here for ten minutes and already i like it there you go we've seen people people walk around i saw this really fit one at the mall actually uh... a little cutie pie worked at some kind of health fitness thing if you listen in my name is mike taylor my phone numbers nine or five eight four six i don't know if i was wondering if i actually was gonna be an i thought
46maybe not okay all my body cell phone numbers for once you're right in the short night no i i didn't talk to her no scared no i was too hungry yet we hadn't eaten in uh... what was it about sixty nine sixteen out you guys to have straight from was there straight from was there i mean i had the first shift which uh... was easily the most pleasant and then you're going along the ninety nine and i had the first shift now passed over to you you're going to be in the daytime i was i was to be the driver so long it's pretty delusional where everyone actually drove bonds and i were talking about just getting here and having the most beautiful drive coming from whistler down the bank uber and then
31sunny sunny streets you know into you know can move somewhat not and then finally just getting uh... you know having a nightmare on the road where we were driving through blizzard always something that's a wipers out working on that well and watching the reason almost cease to exist uh... nailed by this truck nailed like this truck was passing us on the right for some reason they went over to the right lane as it was passing us we're just behind them like a meter away from who plowing back in the van that's pretty exciting that's a lot of happy about that the didn't happen but it would have made for a pretty interesting story yes well it may be pretty serious
16have you noticed things are to pick up i mean last time you guys were here the record was not yet so it was kind of just waiting for things to happen this tour has been so far this tour feels a lot better than the last summer west for sure but yeah so that's progress in itself i guess hopefully uh... you know come out in september and just see if it's going more yet a good yet you know we've been stopping all the radio stations along the way trying to do the meeting greet and whatnot make sure that uh... people know you know that we care about getting the name out and plan shows the people yeah good to hear and i hear you had no decent to you guys that i'd use before across country for four times and i'll take a way more than we've been at west really like us a little closer to a lot of these and it's nice to drive through yes uh... it's easier to do
03you know different part times of the year it's shorter it's cheaper that kind of thing the company of a foreign or a show coming up to you yeah yeah already how is music which leads over p i've always wondered that i think we'll come out the shows there a lot of people there people go out but really think they care much about the music they're all getting licked up they just just an excuse to go out and then we met this girl we call her chugs chugs uh... shotgun like on our own will this girl was just watching the band that played before us and uh... she had these revs interpurs and she pulled out a lighter and we watched her burn a hole into the bottom the bottom of the rev and she shot gundit in like under two seconds that's the greatest ever heard it and then we got a picture of us
49big thumbs up smiles all over our face and she's shuddied up this rev just tip straight up and then after that she put a bottle of beer between her breasts and then she did a limbo back and shoved this beer in between the big ones i mean they were like no not good full-head size breasts i mean these were these were yeah so i oose they were yeah but uh... we got a picture of that as well yeah her just tipping leaning all the way back in this limbo so i was p i last time we were there before that i mean got to play with some cool bands out there as well and uh... we went out with mony and boy's night out in october as well which was fun and then we went out
35november and so excited to see the east yet again yeah hopefully a little nicer now yeah frequencies you should be able to watch it's maybe you never know what's the single now right? yeah but it's we have to see how well it's received and whatnot and and if it's uh... because we both uh... a grants that we applied for we didn't we didn't get already and the last time we shot a video it basically came out of our pocket and uh... you know it wasn't well it wasn't well planned so hopefully this time we'll kind of wait it out to see if every deal across the country picks it up and if it does well then you know we might consider doing a video for it that's cool components video school must be
21yeah i think we talked a lot of fun for sure yeah it was great time doing that it's getting played fairly well much music there it was it was no video the video was the latest on the last time we had a tiny rotation that's always the funny thing because for in our in our personal experience so far just with radio video and it's not it hasn't been very long you know we're a new band when it comes to all this kind of yeah first real video right but uh... the radio has done so much more for us than in the video and you know interesting the radio doesn't cost twenty something thousand dollars to make and then see you know in the it's good to have yet it's good to have right now you know you know what you tell these random yeah when you do mtv you know you've got uh... three seconds of footage that they can cut to and come back and say we're here
07with the junction you see a little clip you know that is because we've got cost a lot of money for that little bit that's fine so we've done it right now we just uh... there has to be a more obvious payoff to do to do in a video like uh... like frequencies rather than kind of just rolling with it and it's difficult when you don't get the grants it's tough to make tough to make music videos in Canada because they are expensive yeah you know and unless you're gonna get video fact someone else got to come up with the change in either your label or you yourselves or private investor whatever you can do has to be the right video to you have a few treatments for frequencies
53already have been somewhat insulting really not really it's just like what you bother making a video of it's going to be this lame you know i mean that we got it or you want to do you have any ideas i have no idea i think it's almost impossible for me to think of a song what i've invested and i don't know if it's as easy as these guys but it's almost impossible for me to have a vision of the kind of emotional and personal investment i have any songs near possible you know i'm not a i don't see things graphically i hear them musically so me to translate is a is really hard but my brother fortunately for us is taking care of most of that but you know the jury the artwork and he's the one who's done all our work for everything we've ever had so far just super exciting and he helped us out with the last music video
41and then i just kind of tried to make it a bit more together you know the ideas and put it in a treatment and then actually ended up working but to start from scratch i don't know if any of us really have any idea it's tough it's all makes it difficult and then you end up reading you know treatment for your video that's exactly like uh... what's up with the plans or or or what's up is it was a problem or something like that the did uh... all the warren hates me yeah like that you know it's a bit infectious and everybody's gonna start singing and things that all these people you know singing the lyrics and what that yet somebody's so so so is working doing this and doing that i'm a good job and hear the song radio
26and during the first first they're warming up to a little bit but i think it's so many that's a bit fuck it's tough it makes it so so i ask it's almost like i would rather just have live videos for every single that we get that's why i want us to do that put on youtube that way the problem with that is being on those kids to some of the regular yeah well be a be on a label and having make other decisions with people yeah it's true make it a little bit trickier because i would i when we were working with directors at the beginning all i said was the two things i could only imagine doing a music video are partying with my friends and family we're playing i'm not an actor right on the any of us really are also a good time definitely not interested in
12holding out a flower you know the mean or something fucking stupid like that while they you know are pretending that i'm chasing after some chick like give me a fucking break so i'm swan a lot really internet is itself it's tough videos are really tough it's tough like there's so many bad ones that are made in the middle this one there's only a handful that you really really enjoy and then you've got a the think we've learned a lot that their it requires quite a bit of blind faith as well just you've got to find a director and you've got to put your trust in them the end i think for a lot of people you know they don't want to tell the idea completely because you know too much detail and if you don't understand it you might just say no whereas
57you know how to act as christmas explain his videos to my spouse you know what is good okay so then there's a serious metallic fish and he's coming up you know this night and then there's all these other things going on i mean was you kind of just have to say you want to direct it go ahead please do a good job and thanks you know there's any directors out there that think they can represent what we're saying musically video please email us what you do whatever you want mike at the junction dot ci mike tip at the junction desk here to the ladies call me t i p he's got new record on the summer when you're saying you're big two pox fans last time what we listen to the band out i said but you know you all agreed
43did you get that i don't think no we were talking about a little more that we are talking about that but you see it's not much of a two-part and only records okay between the two i've i'm two pox definitely got my vote because over biggie for sure man yeah and uh... the park at the fire yet fireness but he did the flam and the valley and but what do you guys plan to do we listen to all what is it all on the way over here i put on two live-day mathies band tracks i have a central park thing i haven't listened to in ages for that we've listened to eagles of death metal not yet the reasons record reasons record now and all this
29as much as i hate those guys man that records not that bad i'm really starting to get a month got them i can't wait to list tours or so we can go home couple of good catchy tracks on their for a such a lame band i hope there is this book you can't believe you guys listen to the record would you be tired of kind of hearing the songs listen to them live in it now now man that you mean yeah i've had one song ahead since we started to win with them i was a wake up and i hear this on the head after every show they play his song after the rest of the night nice it's great song singing the show it's called sleepyhead i'll take a listen to the it's really good well they come at least you guys yeah everything so we've got another month and it was okay cool yeah
14i mean it was the day yeah and then what and then uh... well this summer got a couple festivals uh... we've got a tubing party that uh... i invited them to come along to as well i live in a small town in a terry and uh... there's a river that flows through it the next town is about three or two right back to where we started that's cool so you get the backpacks you strap on your you throw your booze in there we get uh... forty one tubes is the number this year and we're gonna cruise on down that's amazing so that's on the court what city to what city chilton ham to terra cotta you've never heard of any of them no i'm from ontario that's weird yeah the tiny best party last year
01last summer probably the best day day party best day party will say that well what festivals are they this summer right now is the beating heart festival and mrs saga that's the day before the tubing party and then we've also got uh... the cutting edge music festival which is in grand ben that's also an ontario and yet that's going to be with the reason again and i think i'm fired monie ten second and can attack and black and yep brenton fest that's big yeah big so that i don't know first nice anyplace the state's at all you guys been talking about it or talking to management about it now right last thing we talked about right now
49as far as the states go i mean we do we do really want a lot more places to be to a room for all the time because as big as can it is is pretty busy doesn't see it right now for sure i mean we uh... we'd like to think that will be able to be to win a whole lot more in other places by in the years well right just to get down there you've got a kind of finds more people and start either trying to get a record release or trying to get on a tour just book shows yourself whatever you can do we still work on that and hopefully soon enough records are going to pick up here again makes it a try to pick it up so that's yeah definitely how often you guys check the kind of stuff is that something you check like on a regular
36basis where it's being played and all that kind of thing no not really i mean when when we were being played on the edge it was easy to just type in edge dot c a and you know check check what times we're being played played what not but as far as the other radio stations i have no idea unless someone says that they are just okay the other day when we played whistler adam from the reason her daughter song in uh... a grocery store on the way that's really cool yeah which one that components of four cool you're going to play a song for us a bit yeah i will for sure one of the uh... it tells us about moments of four is about no matter where you get you know how far you get with uh... something you love and as successful as you get is just keeping grounded you know thinking about
23friends and family and as far as you go ahead you know you go forward take a step backwards and just keep yourself grounded cool so one of the one of those reminders on you know that one of the older students who from the p i wonder if uh... the oldest is the oldest is it really one of the first ones you guys wrote together now is what they know and it's not one of the one first ones we wrote together but it was what uh... it was one of the first ones it was probably the first one that we are just like alright we wrote something good that's that we you know believe in and we can bring this around and play for people who are you know the songs before that were always basement songs was writing for ourselves and trying to get more experience and whatnot
08how long goes up uh... ten years ten years you guys gonna get out of ten years eleven wow this September at least me and Jackson jameson eight years and i'm just trying to get pretty tired of these guys components was probably written about six years five six years ago it's kind of cool to see a flourish kind of now two thousand two i guess it was written that it is so funny when things work like that well i guess just take some tunes stand the test of time you know yeah any of the other old eptines come alive is just new stuff off the new record because is the only one that we still actually played on this comes tomorrow the day okay which is it didn't really actually go that well but i'd like to continue playing a
54more important the settlers that because of the only two songs besides entitled which is on the album and frequencies which is the album but only exclusively p tracks of the because we play a lot great song and this comes tomorrow knows when i start playing more cool here's the ground i will well eyes on the streets um... five questions one word answers i putter cds okay i'm saying cds cds i pizzle lennon or karini uh... lennon for me karini lennon alcohol or marijuana alcohol both one word answer
40song you're most proud of the whole record first time i've heard that in four years first time i've heard that school yeah station you can say that but you yeah you can also do to the last part of questions still what i said as well i thought that you don't do both i do both i party hard also we remember what i said half that would have been good as well david heroin the junk you think station is a standard i i i just uh... i just think that's a really original to it's really cool
26but i thought it's a great for you well yes almost of jackson of stellar answer as well i could say notion of love as well i think that's one of the coolest tunes on there as well uh... sorry man i don't have one word answer that's fine you like your as you should and that one word the junction love consignance be one word is one word i i i would be the one word i would rather not say anything that that's for other people to determine that's good so loves the gets the thumbs up but i don't
12no why not one of the you were talking about the word to i'm gonna say it again that up honesty that's all thanks guys pretty always but i thought it's good thanks very much for having us you like some silences great and it's good what was that that's not happy
